Not often do you find such a treasure.....

Stop at St Foy La Grande and have coffee in the square......walk near the river or if you are around on Saturday morning you will find shopping a real treat....the market is lavished with produce of all kinds. A favourite meeting spot for all the local characters.

Leaving our property to get to St Emilion....(everyone must visit this pretty village) drive through Pujols......just outside Pujols is a great little restaurant which has a very pleasing atmosphere and very special cooking with a modern flavour....it is called La Poudette. Sunday is a great day for venturing to Issegac Market which is back towards the tiny airport of Bergerac. Issegac is quaint and riddled with tiny rivers, loved by tourists and locals a like.... the atmosphere on Sunday is very enjoyable and you will find very interesting purchases. The dessert wines of our region are fantastic and the Monbazilliac wine, a musty fragrant delight from this spot is affordable and from a picturesque village with a large monument to visit.

MY VILLAGE.My village has a shop and a doctors surgery but we also have a Restaurant/Hotel owned by an English couple who work very hard producing good cooking and helpful service.....as well as excellent British style sausages! The local church commands the base for the very well attended concerts in the region.....Chamber music. Outside the village is my place, the Chateau Carbonnneau which is a Chambre d'hote of fine quality and produces good wine. I keep meeting people and finding all sorts of great people and places.
